Frequently Asked Questions About IVS

What does IV do to my body?

It provides rapid, high-dose delivery of hydration, electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals to correct deficiencies, support the immune system, boost energy, or aid recovery

How is this better than taking oral supplements?

The key benefit is 100% absorption. Oral supplements must pass through the digestive tract, where only a fraction (often 20% or less) is absorbed. IVs bypass the digestive system, delivering maximum nutrient concentration directly to the cells.

How long do the effects last?

This varies widely, but clients often feel immediate effects (hydration, energy boost). The benefits of the vitamins and minerals can last anywhere from a few days up to one or two weeks.

What should I do before my appointment?

We advise you to be well-hydrated (drinking water) and to eat a small meal beforehand. Avoid excessive caffeine or alcohol, as these can make vein access more difficult.

How long will it take?

Anywhere from 2- 4 hours depending on the type of drip you receive

Can I exercise afterwards?

You can typically resume normal activities, but it's best to avoid heavy, strenuous exercise immediately after to ensure the IV site clots properly and to prevent swelling.

Is this covered by insurance, or can I use my FSA/HSA?

IV hydration therapy is generally not covered by medical insurance for wellness purposes. However, it may be eligible for payment using Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) funds. (Always advise them to check with their specific plan administrator.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CLINICAL FACIALS

What is a Medical-Grade Facial and how is it different from a Spa Facial?

Our medical-grade facial follow the general steps of a classic facial (cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration) however we use  advanced tools and medical grade  (pharmaceutical-grade) products with higher concentrations of active ingredients (like high-strength acids, retinoids, and antioxidants) that penetrate deeper into the skin. We incorporate advanced, clinical-grade techniques or devices like stronger chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, or light therapy. products to ensure lasting results.

Who should get a Medical-Grade Facial?

Anyone who is focused on corrective and results-driven skincare, targeting specific, deeper skin concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, advanced aging, or scarring, not just relaxation.

How often should I get a Medical-Grade Facial

The ideal frequency is highly personalized based on your skin condition, goals, and the type of facial you receive. A common recommendation for maintenance and optimal skin health is every 4 to 6 weeks. More intensive treatments (like deeper peels) may be spaced further apart. I  will create a treatment plan tailored for you.

What should I do before and after my appointment?

On our initial concultation call I  will provide specific instructions, but generally, you should avoid exfoliating products, retinoids/retinols, and direct sun exposure for a few days leading up to the appointment.

We also strongly advice “pre conditioning the skin two weeks before an appointment with our medical grade skin care line to ensure maximum results.

• After (Post-Care):

• Always use broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your freshly treated skin.

• Use only gentle, hydrating products for the first few days.

• Avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs, intense exercise) and harsh scrubbing/exfoliating products for at least 48 hours.
